Our Services

From a legal point of view, you can lable us a ‘shipping agent’. Our main activity is arranging local and international road freight transport. As an intermediary, we do not have our own cars.

But we prefer to see ourselves as ‘a Logistics Service Provider’ because we offer a wide range of logistics services outside of directing these transports.

TRANSPORT GENERAL CARGO (ROAD)

URGENT TRANSPORT

If you need to send your cargo from A to B very urgently, we have partners who deal with your cargo as a matter of urgency - if necessary double staffed.

ADR TRANSPORT (hazardous substances)

Most of our business partners are certified to transport most ADR classes. If you have a question about a specific hazardous substance, please do not hesitate to contact us.

TAPA TRANSPORT

In case you have valuable goods for transport (eg electronics)? We have reliable partners with TAPA certificates.

SPECIAL TRANSPORT

We love "Special Transports" at Van Vliet Logistics. The crazier the better. Live animals, low loader transport, automobiles, T1, ship spares, etc. You name it, we take care of it for you.

OOG Cargo (Out of Gauge)

You can also classify Out of Gauge (OOG) loads under "Special Transport", but we would like to state separately that we can also help you with this.

AIRCRAFT ON GROUND (AOG)

As the name suggests, this term comes from aviation. Given the high financial risks involved in maintenance of aircraft and parts, it is important that someone is available 24/7 to respond adequately to logistical challenges.

SEA AND AIR WORTHY PACKING

For years, we have been doing business with a very experienced partner for the seaworthy and airworthy packaging of your goods. If necessary and desired, we ensure that the packaging fits seamlessly with the transport. Before and after packaging.

If you pass on to us:

  • where and when these must be collected
  • At what time and to which sea or airport the goods must be transported after packaging

.. then we take it over from you and together ensure that your goods arrive safely and in accordance with all legal requirements, including the entire paper shop.

That is why we never need or use large and impersonal transport platforms.

Communication

When acting as a transport liaison, it is crucial that all the relevant/important information provided by our customer is sent to the actual carrier and vice versa.

Every morning (!!) we ask our business partners about the status of all the shipments they load and unload that day on our behalf, so that we can inform our customers on a timely matter.

Personal attention

As we have been fast growing over the last years, we believe that we respond to the market's needs. But in order to guarantee personal attention to each shipment we don’t want to grow any further.

And it doesn't matter who is answering your call, Wilbert, Jeffrey, Wilbert, Dirk-Jan, Mark or Dirk ... they are all very capable to be of service. And although they all are aware of all pending shipments, it is our goal that per shipment you have only 1 point of contact.

Quality Control

“When making an omelette, one breaks a few eggs...” as they say. In the process many things can go wrong. There are many variables during transports and we are all human after all.

However we have created an ongoing internal QC-system with which we minimize the probability of mistakes.

On the days when your transport(s) are loaded and/or unloaded, you can automatically receive a status update by email during the morning from us. If you are interested in this, you can enter one or more email addresses here.

VAT on invoice (default)

Here you can indicate which VAT percentage will probably APPLY IN MOST CASES.


Way of billing

By default we send our invoice as soon as we have received the CMR. After which we'll send the CMR attached to our invoice.

But more and more often we are requested not to send the CMR anymore, however to keep it in such a way that they can request it afterwards if needed.

 


Date / approval


Van Vliet Logistics BV uses a payment term of 30 days after the invoice date



Wist u dat ...

… alle vintage-truck foto’s die u op onze site tegenkomt, uit Dirk z’n privé collectie komen. Deze vrachtwagens waren namelijk van Dirk z’n vader die destijds zelfstandige melkrijder was in Zevenhuizen e.o.. Vaak mocht Dirk met z’n vader mee, wat hij maar al te graag deed. Grote kans dat z’n passie voor ‘logistiek’ hierdoor is aangewakkerd.
